Creative, accessible, energetic, challenging, playful
What inspired you to become a Pilates teacher?
As a dance major in college, I was always intrigued by Pilates and its benefits. It wasn't until later in my life when I broke my foot by stepping off a curb that I found myself desiring more mindfulness in my everyday movement. I turned to Pilates for its focus on form improving overall function, and became inspired to share the benefits of this practice through teaching.
What makes your class unique?
My class is unique because it incorporates Pilates principles into unconventional exercises and sequences. I will challenge you to take up space through dynamic movement and an energetic flow!
What's your favorite thing about teaching at PPYThrive?
The community of teachers and clients is pretty spectacular.
What are you doing when you're not teaching Pilates?
When I am not teaching Pilates, I am working at DataArts, a national service organization that collects data on the arts and cultural sector. Other activities I enjoy are dancing, hiking, running...pretty much anything that gets me moving.
What's one song that will always pump you up?
